Abstract:
Drawing from cutting-edge research on the influence of complex trauma on severe mental health disorders, as well as the etiopathogenesis and diagnosis of psychiatric conditions, this webinar offers profound insights and practical tools for the treatment of severe mental disorders utilizing Ericksonian hypnosis. Specifically tailored to clinicians, therapists, and researchers, this webinar delves into treatment criteria and highly effective Ericksonian hypnotic intervention strategies for individuals who have endured traumatic experiences, including maltreatment and neglect. The enlightening research of Caspi and collaborators on the topic of repeated micro-trauma in childhood and the implications that Caspi's research may have, clinically speaking, in working with hypnosis will be explored. From the perspective of techniques, rapport building, the use of mirroring and reorientation techniques with both "internalizing" and "externalizing" subjects will be analyzed in detail. In addition, a group induction will be proposed as a means of deepening the theoretical content presented.
Learning Objectives:
- Be able to identify and distinguish the differences between the concept of trauma and those of maltreatment and neglect
- Be able to build a hypnotic intervention with individuals with severe mental disorder
- Be able to recognize the therapeutic qualities of hypnosis in the treatment of individuals with psychiatric disorders
- Formulate and Practice at least three hypnotic techniques to utilize
