Description: Ego State Therapy provides an approach to work with our internal voices or various states of self. Clinical hypnosis enhances this approach by providing strategies and hypnotic language to access and explore unconscious states of self and their wisdom related to the origin, maintenance, or solution to a problem, symptom, or conflict. This workshop will focus on the art of hypnotic language for communicating with unconscious states of self, including language that promotes safety and stability, deals with resistance, and honors the multiplicity of self. The use of ideomotor signaling and what to do with the yes, no, and I don’t know/I can’t answer responses when working through an ego state therapy lens will also be discussed.

Bio: Wendy Lemke is an ASCH-certified approved consultant and board member. She is the recipient of numerous awards and is also a fellow and an active member of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD). She has published articles in the Journal of Trauma & Dissociation, Many Voices, and the American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis. Along with her clinical practice, she consults and teaches others in her areas of expertise and is a sought-after speaker. She has taught in the UK, Australia, Japan, Canada, and all around the United States.
